The architecture is conceived not to assert its presence, but to enhance the grandeur of the unique landscape of Kita-Karuizawa.

By placing the building atop a distinctive large boulder on the site, a simple glass volume is lightly suspended, as if bridging across the terrain.

Careful consideration is given to material selection and proportions to ensure comfort while allowing the structure to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings. In doing so, the design establishes a rich relationship between architecture and the environment,

offering a spatial experience of the highest level of profound sense of luxury.
